How to Make Challan Status Enquiry at NSDL portal

- Visit the NSDL portal page at: https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/index.html
- The page will show two options. One is for Tax Payers and second is for Collecting Banks.
- At the Tax Payers option, select one of the two buttons. Either CIN or TAN. The CIN based method uses Challan Identification Number.
- Fill the following details in the relevant fields:
- BSR Code of collecting branch
- Challan Tender Date
- Challan Serial No.
- Amount deposited (this field is optional)
- Enter the captcha code as shown
- Click on View button after entering above details.
The TDS Challan Status will be now on the screen. It will show the date on which money is received by TIN / NSDL. It will also show the confirmation that the amount entered by you is correct with tax payer’s name. It is also called TDS challan 281 after the name of its form.
